Secondary School Topics

We offer secondary school incursions that are fun, engaging, interactive & educational. We adapt the workshop to suit the year level audience and the incursion includes age-appropriate information as well as interactive activities, games, discussion and multi-media to engage, educate and impact the students.

In addition to the workshop, we also provide a teacher resource guide and curriculum - to extend the learning outcomes on the topic in the classroom if you choose to do so. You can view the topics we offer including the key concepts we cover below:

Leadership Skills (secondary)

Practical skills to become better leaders including communication skills, teamwork, the need for role-models and being others-centred.

Bouncing Back (secondary)

Practical tools to encourage a growth mindset, skills to problem-solve, have gratitude, seek help where necessary and be proactive in helping others.

Community Builders (secondary)

Exploring issues of self-worth, peer pressure, communication, friendship and encouraging a community that values belonging.

Anti-Bullying (secondary)

Evidence-based bullying prevention including why it occurs, the role of bystanders, cyber-safety and practical indivual strategies

Drugs & Alcohol (secondary)

We explore the science of drugs including vaping, alcohol, etc. and the effects on the body & teenage brain, addiction and protective factors

TechWise (secondary)

Practical tools to be cyber-safe as well as the impacts of social networking and the addictive nature of technology

Additional Information

Workshops may include a single year level, mixed year levels or even a whole school, depending on the number of students
We cater for small, medium and large groups - we prefer group sizes to be under 150 per session but are happy to adapt for a larger or smaller group
All presenters have a WWCC and we have public liability insurance and adhere to all the Child Safe Standards
We provide all AV equipment
Costs are calculated on several variables including location and number of sessions, etc. Call or email us for a quick quote
Cancellations: 21 or more days prior to the date incur a 10% administration fee. Less than 21 days receives no refund.
Session duration is adapted to your timetable - we recommend between 45 to 90 minutes
Options include: a single session; a half-day (two sessions), or a full day (e.g. three or more sessions)
